Julian, do you mind if we make a quick trip to Nevada this weekend? I have a lot of stuff I need to get. Ruhun, mostly, but Merle said he'd get my stuff out of storage for me and have it waiting, and I promised Ruby I'd come see the puppies and she's probably going to try and give you one, and well, Annie's been on my case about visiting. I didn't know if you had, um, any plans, so I thought I'd check.

She has it in her head that you need a puppy. Ruhun needs a friend, and you need a puppy.

...They're cute? She's sent me pictures? There's like eleven of them, I think. Four of them are solid white, like the mother. They're fat and fuzzy and their little bodies are like ridiculously out of proportion with their paws? Very, you know, puppy-like?

I tried to tell her no, I swear.

It...could be fun? They're very playful and full of energy when they're little. Ruhun was a year old when I got him, so, missed out on the puppy stage.
