I was rather amazed by that. Honestly, taking someone so dispicable and humanizing him so well... That is definitely skill. Of course, his sister is still the bitch of the century.
Hmm... I haven't read the last one since it came out, so the details are fuzzy. I can't remember what happened to the Hound, but, yes, having him alive would be great.
She really is, but I enjoy loathing her. I especially enjoyed watching her destroy herself.
Arya left him to die? Supposedly some monks at a monastery found him and buried him, but all the monk would say was that 'The Hound is dead,' he never called Sandor by name. While they characters are talking about this, though, there's like a cowled monk mentioned in the background that walks with a limp like he's recovering from an injury and has an affinity for dogs, so...fingers crossed!
There's a certain four letter word I never, ever use because I find it terribly obscene and offensive towards women, but I call her that word in my head all the time.
They're really good. I love the writer's sense of humor. Pick up The Book of Jhereg (http://www.amazon.com/Book-Jhereg-Vlad-Taltos/dp/0441006159), it's the first three books of the series in one volume. You won't regret it, I promise, though keep in mind it's a very long, continuing anthology. But they're easy reads, they go quick.
If you're into irreverent humor you might enjoy Sir Apropos of Nothing and its sequels, The Woad to Wuin and Tong Lashing. Apropos is the epitome of the anti-hero. They're very interesting books.
It was the titles that made me pick them up in the first place. I couldn't believe the horrendous puns. I just had to see if they were any good. I wasn't disappointed.
