There was an entry in one of the Watcher's diaries I borrowed from Ethan forever and a day ago--it's one of the ones he DIDN'T translate cause technically it's in English, just that old as dirt Canterbury Tales English. I can't quite make it out? But it talks about a demon a lot like the one that attacked you, AND the race of demons that they had a millennium long Blood War with. They weren't extinct then. I can't understand half of what the dude's saying, but it's something like, their blood is like fire and the creature can't live in it? I think that's what it says.

Probably not helpful, I have no idea what the fuck that's supposed to mean, but that's seriously all I've found. I'm scanning the pages now, and sending them to you and Ethan, maybe he can tell you better what it means.
